He has worked at lower to top management positions in two of the largest automotive companies in the domain. 30+ years of expertise in designing and improving processes, warehouse layouts, supplier management, design of material handling equipment, reducing inventory, preparation and implementation of Self Certification, JIT and SMED, thus accruing monetary benefits and process time reductions for the manufacturing and trading verticals.
Started his career on the shop floor with a reputed automobile manufacturer, learnt designing the warehouse for Raw materials, Components and FOS Items. He managed the Supply Chain, Supplier management, 5S and Process Improvements. A trained ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and QS 9000 Internal auditor, and has renewed his Lead Auditor certificate for ISO9001:2015. In the Trading vertical, as the Head of Product (aka Procurement) Team from different ethnicities, who handled the end to end SC for the business, alongwith databases and communication, designed a work flow system for processing supplier payments and increased the SKUs from 6500 to 35,000 with addition of Suppliers from South East Asia and China.
As the Product Head, he also coordinated on time deliveries to clients, within 24 hours. His last assignment was working for an exclusive distributor for a European brand of Commercial Vehicles. He owned complete responsibility for a very crucial tender for the supply of public transport buses. The execution of the project was spread over 30+ months, and was a logistical challenge, with the bus moving from Europe to South East Asia and finally to a satisfied Customer on time as required.
