Here are some of the most common mistakes which startups or businesses do and the answers to them are easy to find if you know the right questions. So my attempt here is to make you face some of the hard, critical yet relevant questions and attempt answering them yourself.

1. 𝑫𝒐 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒓 (𝑲𝒀𝑪) ??? – Every business of product, service or even for that matter a social enterprise is an answer to the need which exists somewhere in the market place. Do you really know where that need is and how to approach them with your creation or you are simply working on and selling whoever is reaching out to you.

𝑨𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒈𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 “𝑩𝒊𝒈 𝑰𝒅𝒆𝒂 𝒐𝒓 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕 / 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆” 𝒅𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒍𝒚??? – From many entrepreneurs’ the first opening words I hear is about how ‘stealth’ their product is, and then followed by a 10-page NDA to hear word one? For them they feel that this is all they have and want to guard it like anything. They think no one else out there have ever thought about this and if it comes in air somebody will catch it. Believe me there are three big myths you need to break.
~ Number 1 – Be rest assured somebody around you knows better than you about the idea and have thought of it.
~ Number 2 – An idea or a product or service by no means is business. Business is all about what you do with that idea or product or service.
~ Number 3 – You are not the best one around. There are people who can do better than you.
So what you need to do is to look out for support in areas where you are weak and reach out to those capable ones to help you climb the ladder of market share quickly and before others do. Remember you alone won’t be able to do everything.
